A sealed vision sensor with IP68-rated housing from Banner Engineering withstands challenging industrial and washdown conditions. The durable nickel-plated aluminum housing of the new PresencePLUS P4 OMNI tolerates shock and vibration. Color and gray-scale models are available, both including a comprehensive suite of inspection tools and nine language software capability. The self-contained unit does not require a separate controller.

The new Sealed PresencePLUS P4 Vision Sensor handles many applications, including:

• Drilled hole inspection

The sensor is designed for use in a wide range of industries including food and beverage, pharamaceutical, automotive, packaging, material handling and printing. Its extensive feature set and competitive price give it a highly competitive price/performance ratio.

The sensor’s location, analysis and geometric tools allow simultaneous inspection of multiple features to accommodate complex applications. The intuitive user interface, identical on all PresencePLUS sensors from Banner Engineering, assures easy setup and operation. Nine languages are supported: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

Models are available with 640 x 480 resolution, or 1280 x 1024 for inspecting larger areas in more detail. Functional options include 2D and 1D Bar Code Reading, Optical Character Recognition/Verification (OCR/OCV) and Bead Inspection. Lens Covers and IP68 LED Ring Lights in Infrared, Red, Green, White or Blue are offered as accessories.
